Cookie policy

Last updated and effective: October 9, 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, what cookies JDM Philly uses on jdmphilly.com, why we use them, and how you can manage them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Section 1 – What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit. Each time you return, your browser sends them back so the site can recognize your device and remember things such as your cart, your sign-in, or your language choice.

  • Session cookies last only while you browse and are deleted when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity.
  • Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period, from days to up to about two years.
  • First-party cookies are set by jdmphilly.com itself.
  • Third-party cookies are set by services built into our site, such as our payment processors.
  • Local storage is a similar browser feature. We use it to remember display preferences, such as the light or dark appearance you choose in your account settings.

Cookies do not identify you by name on their own. Combined with other information, such as your IP address, they can be linked to your device, which is why some state privacy laws treat them as personal information.

Section 4 – Third-party services

Some cookies are placed by the companies whose services we use. We do not control those cookies, and the data they collect is governed by each provider’s own policy:

We do not sell personal information collected through cookies to data brokers or other third parties.

Section 5 – Your choices and state privacy rights

Every visitor can opt out of analytics and marketing cookies, wherever you live. Depending on your state, you may also have legal rights over cookie-based data:

  • Everyone, including Pennsylvania residents: you can opt out of analytics and marketing cookies, ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and expect equal service if you exercise these choices.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, wherever you live.
  • States with privacy laws: residents of states such as California, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Colorado may have a legal right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale or sharing of personal data, and certain profiling.

To opt out, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, email Jdmphilly7@gmail.com with the subject “Cookie Opt-Out – [Your Name]”, or call (215) 613-8004. We process opt-out requests within 15 business days. Full details of your rights are in our Privacy Policy.

Section 6 – How to manage cookies

Every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies. These settings apply to all websites, not only ours:

  • Google Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions
  • Mobile: on iPhone, go to Settings › Safari › Advanced; on Android, open Chrome › Settings › Site settings › Cookies.

To opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies, you can also use the NAI opt-out tool or the DAA WebChoices tool.

If you block all cookies

  • Your cart will not keep items between pages.
  • You will not be able to sign in or complete checkout, because sign-in and payments rely on session and security cookies.
  • Payment fraud checks may flag your session and block the payment.

If you are concerned about tracking, the best approach is to block only third-party analytics and marketing cookies and allow cookies from jdmphilly.com.

Section 7 – Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when we add or remove services that set cookies or when privacy laws change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision, and where required by law we will notify affected customers by email.
